Painting as liberation
Is the painting then acting as a 'negotiating table'? In fact, the narrative is a re-construction of the event, as opposed to a representation of it. Reality, given a second chance, re-interpreted. Painting becomes an act of liberation by re-visiting the event: it is also its confrontation.
