The world has changed. The world is changed. And fear came over their faces.
The world is in perpetual change. Only a few memorable events allow us to take conscience of its slow metamorphosis. Change always brings fear. But the events are not ends. Circumstances and upheavals follow each other in a dizzying race. History is constantly rewriting itself. Civilisations appear and disappear. The human continues.

The Yi King* was very clear when I consulted it. The Abundance (hexagram 55) which reflects our era, of which we benefit and of which we are also the victims, contains an element of degradation and of exhaustion of energy. The human is tempted to make use of harshness in order to remove what threatens to destroy the richness of the moment prematurely. This is no time for subtle exchanges. Abundance is the last apex we will know.
When the representation of things tends to replace their direct perception, when the organisation replaces what once justified it, the time is ripe for Revolution (hexagram 49) which overthrows structures that are too rigid and emptied of their content. Revolution destroys and transforms the external conditions when they tend to make access to the "essential waters" difficult.
